My first experience help

So i got a dynavap g3. Packed it, heated it till it clicked took a puff no vape or smoke….did it a few times after it cooled back down didn’t get blown away but felt a lil something on the last try i left the lighter on longer than the click took a hit got a lil smoke so i assume this was combustion. My question is is it normal for no cloud at all on exhale and a video i watched said once its heated take a puff let it cool down and dump…..so is it really only one hit and quit? I’m just confused any guidance
