30F USA - Post surgery constipation
I had surgery on Thursday to remove an external skin tag and a couple internal hemorrhoids. Since then, I haven't been able to pass stool. Air? For sure, but nothing solid. I feel the stool though. It's huge, rock solid, and heavy and not coming out.
What I've done so far:
Eaten a lot of fiber, drank about 100oz of water a day, prune and apple juice, several sitz baths, taken colace twice a day, miralax (once a day and then twice a day the last two days), nurse just suggested I try milk of magnesia as well.
I feel like all of these things might be working...for whatever is behind this one. I can only create movement by really straining, but I don't want to do that because that is what got me here in the first place.
Help?
