11 day trip at the end of August (Hong Kong-Shenzen-Guangzhou)

I am solo travelling in China for 11 days at the end of August and am wondering how bad the weather will get and what to avoid in the cities mentioned in the title. Is there anything important to know about alipay and wepay I should pay attention at?
