Brother for Lydia?
I’m 7.5 months pregnant and we’ve made zero progress on a name for baby boy.
Daughter is Lydia Frances.
I want to use Ellis (family name) as the middle name and not the first name.
We have a long Polish last name similar to Poniakowski so we can’t really pick a super Irish/Scottish or otherwise unique sounding name without it being a bit much. (e.g. Alistair Poniakowski sounds weird to my ears even though I like the name on its own).
We like classic but not overly popular names (Lydia fit the bill well with our daughter. It’s ranked 100 or so).
Names we’ve considered but aren’t convinced on:
Julian
James (too popular)
Louis (worried about it being mispronounced constantly as Lewis)
Felix (name of great grandparent, reminds husband of the cat and is too out there for him)
Dean
Elliot (Elliot Ellis sounds silly)
Emmett (just not loving it)
Forrest (Forrest gump connotations and sister pointed out it’s the name of a famous confederate general or something weird like that?)
We find the super classic names like John, Michael, Lucas, Thomas, Matthew, etc a bit too boring.
Help is appreciated!!
