Looking for a loving home for my cockatiel

I’m looking for someone to adopt my cockatiel because I’ll be leaving the country for my studies, and unfortunately I won’t be able to take him with me.

This is not something I’m taking lightly. My cockatiel is very important to me, and I want to make sure he goes to someone responsible who genuinely loves birds and understands their needs.

What I’m looking for:
- A responsible and experienced (or well-informed) bird owner.
- A calm, safe, and suitable home environment.
- A large, spacious cage with enough room to move around comfortably.
- He should not be kept inside the cage all day. I want him to have plenty of supervised free-flight time around the house every day.
- Someone who is willing to provide proper food, enrichment, toys, attention, and veterinary care when needed.
- Ideally, someone without young children or a busy household, so he can have a calm environment.
- Most importantly, I want him to be treated as a family member and a responsibility, not just a pet.

I would also like to stay in contact and check on him from time to time, including receiving updates and photos/videos to make sure he is doing well.

If for any reason the adopter can no longer care for him, I would want them to contact me rather than giving him away to someone else.

I’m willing to take my time finding the right person. His wellbeing comes before anything else.

If you’re genuinely interested, please tell me a little about yourself, your experience with birds, and what kind of environment you can provide for him.

I have to give up my cockatiel…
