Seeking clarity and recommendations around electric burr grinders budget [sub 400]
Hey! I just took a little time to look over this communities posts about electric grinders and am kinda at a loss for the differences between some of the mid to low range electric grinders out there. Below is a list of potential grinders I'm looking at with the timemore more or less added just out of curiosity for why people think it's sooo good. I'm also curious about differences between some of the gen 1 vs gen 2 on some of these model, and if they're worth it. I really like to nerd out a little here and there, and would love to dive a little deeper a little faster on some of this stuff without binging youtube. So please don't hesitate to share.
My main reason for upgrading is to have more room for dialing in my shots so I can better explore the range of flavors in different beans. I also like changing my beans frequently, if that matters. I've heard of changing the mass of the beans as well as the grind size can help to alter the flavor on grinders with limited steps; however, I'd like to avoid this if possible.
All that said, I currently own a 1zpresso air, which was my first grinder mostly for aeropress and moka, and I also acquired a K6 I use for espresso now. The K6 seems to be adequate at getting pretty good results, but at times I wish I had a step between two of the setting as it seems like I only really have about ten clicks to choose from. If this is a user error please don't hesitate to lmk. I'm also using a hand drill at a low rpm because I got sick of hand grinding.
TLDR: I want to upgrade from my K6 grinder to have more room to dial in shots, below are some that I'm interested in but have no clue what the differences are. I'd like to spend as little as possible for the best result. My K6 works with a drill, so I'd like something better than that, if I'm going to upgrade
