Traffic Ticket Alleged Phone Use

Today, I was pulled over heading home this evening and as I was passing a cop car and getting into the turning lane, he put his lights on. I was confused because I literally looked right at him while driving to check that nobody was going into the right lane as well (it's a busy intersection).

He was in front of me and I hasn't even full passed him as I was merging (he was in the left lane to me). He claimed he saw me on the phone while driving, and I'm like no I wasn't on the phone. He said he saw me talking and was so rude. His partner wasn't saying anything.

So, when he gave me the summon, I asked again what he saw me do and he doubled down on me being in an active phone conversation. He didn't write that in the additional notes on the summon, he claimed I held it in my left hand, but nothing about an active phone call.

Here's the thing, I have zero incoming or outgoing phone calls before and during the incident. My phone carrier is sending me the proof.

Like what do I do? I saw that this would be points on my license and I have zero, and I'm not even from Long Island, just here from school was driving back from a work trip!!

Any advice, I'm frustrated and honestly cannot afford this potential ticket cost
