7 weeks self-taught - 30 years old

I've played guitar (badly) most of my life, but I'm new to piano, reading music, and formal music theory. I'm an absolute beginner - outside of arm / hand tension, and tempo, what are some other obvious mistakes I'm making? I recognize that my tempo and arm tension are pretty abhorrent, and I'm working on those, what else should I pay attention to? I do plan to find a teacher soon!
