What do we think of Capital One venture x?

What the title says. My husband and I have Chase Sapphire preferred and Amex Gold. We like Amex gold because of the 4x points with grocery stores and the monthly $10 credits for Uber, etc. With Chase Sapphire, we’ve only kept it because it was the most basic card to start with and not every store takes Amex. But now I want to ditch our Chase and get a Venture X. My girl math says it’s pretty much the same fee as what we pay for Chase($95). The fee for X is $395 with $300 credit for hotels and flights. Is my math correctish? When comparing prices with other platforms such as Kayak and Expedia, how much more do they charge for hotels and flights on their portal?
