How Do I ask out women in 2026?

I am a 27M. I have been single for 27 yrs. I am at a complete loss of how to ask women out. I am referring to in person rather than online. I have seen multiple posts about women saying they dont want men to approach them because it makes them uncomfortable. I have seen women saying the complete opposite. I will admit I am not attractive. I would rate myself a 4/10. Probably being generous. I am
sick of being alone but I also dont want to make whoever it is uncomfortable. Any advice would be helpful
