Hey everyone,

Now that the Russo Brothers and RDJ have explicitly confirmed that he is strictly playing Victor Von Doom from an alternate reality—and not a variant of our Tony Stark—it actually makes the storytelling ten times more brilliant and heartbreaking.

Think about the sheer emotional and psychological damage this layout creates for Earth-616:

Peter Parker’s Nightmare: Peter literally watched his father-figure take his final breath in Endgame. Imagine the absolute horror when Spider-Man finally manages to crack open Doctor Doom’s mask on the battlefield, expecting a monster, only to see the exact face of Tony Stark staring back at him with a cold, sociopathic grin.

The Trauma for the OG Team: War Machine and Thor fought alongside Tony for over a decade. Going to war against a multiversal tyrant who accidentally weaponizes the face of their dead best friend is the ultimate psychological trap.

Even if he has the full comic-accurate origin and sorcery of Victor Von Doom, casting RDJ means his physical appearance is going to completely paralyze our heroes emotionally before the physical fight even begins.

How do you guys think Tom Holland's Spider-Man will handle seeing that face? Will he be able to swing a punch, or will the emotional shock destroy him first? Let's discuss!

The Russo Brothers said Doom is Victor Von Doom... but the psychological toll on Tom Holland's Spider-Man is going to be insane! 💔🎭
