Am I Actually Handling Gender Dysphoria?

I think my gender dysphoria emerges from having the goal to be my self-concept, defined by me of course. Maybe it's in these distressing feelings that I see what I really want in life, and so I'm driven toward a self I see myself as. I was wondering if it's strange that I don't react as intensely to my feelings about my present self. I feel as if I know what's here now, eventually won't be, and feel fine waiting for the change I strive for. Is it typical to have feelings of dysphoria without doing much about it? Just sitting with the kind of knowing that it won't always be this way if we're consistent? I know I'm going to go through with my transition, but did you folks ever feel a kind of dual hesitation and drive at the same time? Feels kind of like a mutation. My words are probably a little strange.
