Eating lawn clover

This is a weird one but sometimes when we are all sitting outside in our (untreated, full of clover) front yard my kids will pick some clover and eat it. I don't see anything wrong with it, but it feels wrong. Is it wrong? It has almost no taste at all, I don't understand why more people aren't eating it. Tastes way better than spinach. Idk, what do you make of it?
