Advice for Offline Gaming on Xbox Ally X

Hi everyone! Any advice on settings or what I should do to play offline games on my new Xbox Ally X?? I previously had the ROG Ally (z1) and offline gaming was really hit or miss. Even when i tried to “go offline” in steam or Xbox, it wouldn’t let me play due to anti cheat being offline (2k basketball game) or cause ea app was offline (assassins creed). Any advice for best offline gaming practices?
