Spawn rates in void fields unbearable?

So I've been working through eclipse(currently on eclipse 4) with REX and when ever I go to the void fields the spawn rates make it impossible to complete. I typically go there after stage two typically 25 or minutes in. Is it just a skill issue or has anyone else experienced this issue?
