Natural History Museum Opportunites

Hi guys! I’ve been looking for a place to ask questions about this and just found this sub. I am currently an undergraduate student, majoring in English and Geology, and I’ve developed a huge interest in science/natural history museums- it seems like the right environment to explore my skills in both science and the humanities. However, as I do research on the possibility of working in museums, most of the information I find is about art museums.

I wanted to ask where/how to start looking for opportunities in natural history museums specifically. I have relatively extensive lab experience in paleontology, if that is helpful. Next summer I will be based in the NYC area, and I would love to know where to start looking for opportunities in this field. Any advice that people have would help!
