Was it too fast?

I have seen this man for about a month.
We were very close almost immediately had commonality and attraction.
On 4th date we kissed and talked about our goals and future.
5th date he was joking about how you can’t marry someone before at least 6 months.
6th date he was side lined by my job in childcare and views and my foundation in creative Waldorf parenting.
For context I told him on the second date that was how I was raised and the environment I worked in.
He dissed and ridiculed nearly all the core values I hold for children and discounted my 15 year career with the stance that a father needs to decide such things.
He felt children don’t need their own music or tailored media.
They should experience as much of the world as possible.
Was I too hasty breaking up?
I was told men often change their minds after seeing their babies..should I assume he will always hold this strong position?
