I’m pretty new to furniture flipping and recently picked up a **Creative Leather two-piece sectional for free on Facebook Marketplace**. From what I’ve been able to determine, a comparable sectional from Creative Leather would have been around **$12,000–$14,000 new**.
It’s an approximately **11-year-old top-grain leather sectional** with extra-padded foam cushions, and it’s extremely comfortable. Structurally, it seems to be in great shape.

The biggest issue is cosmetic wear from its age. Some of the seat cushions have noticeable fading/color loss, and the arms have several scratches that appear to be from a dog.

So far, I’ve given it a pretty thorough cleaning:
Cleaned and conditioned all of the leather
Vacuumed the entire sectional
Removed as much pet hair/lint as possible
Shampooed and cleaned all of the fabric portions of the frame and cushions

At this point, I’m trying to decide **how far I should go with the restoration before listing it.**
I could attempt to color-match and restore the faded areas so the cushions look more uniform, and I could fill/repair the deeper scratches on the arms. However, since I’m new to leather restoration, I also don’t want to risk making an expensive piece of furniture look worse by attempting repairs that aren’t necessary.

**For experienced furniture flippers or leather restorers:**
Would repairing the fading and scratches realistically add enough resale value to justify the extra work and materials?
Or would you leave it alone, photograph the imperfections clearly, and sell it honestly as a used high-end sectional?
If you *would* restore it, what products/process would you recommend for the faded leather and dog scratches?
For anyone who has sold older, high-end leather sectionals, what would you realistically list something like this for **as-is** versus **after a good cosmetic restoration**?

I got the sectional for free, so I have very little invested in it other than cleaning supplies and my time. My main goal is figuring out whether putting more money and labor into the leather restoration would meaningfully increase my profit or if I’d be better off listing it now.

I’d appreciate any advice from people who have experience flipping furniture, restoring leather, or selling higher-end used pieces.

**TL;DR:** Got an 11-year-old Creative Leather two-piece sectional for free that was roughly $12k–$14k new. It’s cleaned and conditioned and structurally good, but has faded leather on some cushions and dog scratches on the arms. Trying to decide whether restoring/recoloring the leather would significantly increase resale value or whether I should sell it as-is and disclose the wear. Also looking for realistic resale-price estimates before vs. after restoration.
