Need portable ac recommendations!

We have a pretty big bedroom, about 225 sq ft with 10 ft ceilings. I like to keep it pretty cold. We’ve already tried two portable ACs, a ZAFRO and a Hisense, but neither has really worked for us.
Our biggest issue is that they keep cycling on and off. Even the ones advertised as “quiet” are loud enough when they kick back on that they wake my husband up. The noise doesn’t really bother me, but when the AC shuts off and the room starts warming up, that wakes me up.
We keep the fan on high and set the temperature as low as it will go, but nothing seems to keep the room consistently cold. Has anyone found a portable AC that actually stays cool without constantly cycling on and off?
