Shokz OpenDots 2 Major Flaw

I recently bought my wife and I each a pair of Shokz OpenDots 2 clip on earbuds. They sound great for a clip on and are super comfortable, but… There is a major flaw with them in my opinion. When wearing 1 headphone they do not automatically switch to mono. They remain in stereo and only play the channel of the side you are listening to.

I reached out to Shokz and they confirmed that you can only listen to them in stereo. The only way to get them to play in mono is to go to your accessibility settings and manually turn on mono. To me this is completely unacceptable in 2026 on a $200 pair of headphones.

It’s such a bummer since we are no longer in the return window so we are stuck with these things.

Until they get this fixed(which seems like it could be fixed in a simple firmware update), I cannot recommend these otherwise stellar earbuds.
