How involved are TAs in class?

I have Altemose for CHEM 119 and she has a 2.8 rating. Tbf, her recent ratings are decent, but the further I scroll, the worse her ratings are. However, I have jedwa listed as my TA and he has awesome ratings(4.8). I’m considering switching out of Altemose to another professor but idk if that’s necessary since jedwa is the TA. Would he offset Altemose’s alleged inability to teach?
