Fatigued browsing books

weird OCD standards and have read tons of the conventionally recommended books not to brag...looking for incredible, no bullshit books. I love DFW but not looking for as difficult, babel but no academia, Murakami but have browsed tons of Japanese works already, Catcher in the rye amazing classic but I don't particularly fancy classics, I like Hesse, James Joyce but too dense, Kafka but too dark...lol I apologize. Any help is thoroughly appreciated
