Filed a 1902 through a company but was laid off before I got a TIN. Help?
Hello all! I just have a few questions about TINs and ORUS.
First off, I applied for a TIN through the first company I worked for in the Philippines but I was laid off (mass layoffs) before I got any confirmation about my TIN. When I go to my ORUS profile, it states that my 1902 was "submitted" but that was in April and I have not received any further communication regarding my TIN. I got hired to teach at a university recently but now I don't know what I should do about my TIN. Should I file for another 1902 through the university since I never got my TIN from my last application? Our HR also doesn't know how to proceed from here (and they're looking into it).
Secondly, I tried using Tin Inquiry function but the OTP links they send are always expired. I have tried doing this probably 50 times now and every single time the link never works, so I cannot even inquire about my TIN.
I sent an email to contact_us@bir.gov.ph two weeks ago but I have never gotten a response from them.
I just wanted to figure these out before I make a trek to my local BIR office.
Thank you in advanced!
