Am i the only one who experiences this with iron fist?

I play iron fist among others but god no matter how strong he is there is something that always bugs me is his homing attack. out of every ability that is either too strong or to weak to be viable this one is the only one that just straight up wont function half the time. as in i meet all the criteria to use it but it just wont work. its so god damn infuriating im flopping in the fucking air doing nothing i would honestly rather have it just plain removed at that point.

maybe its a skill issue but i dont understand how my reticle is on someone and then i just dont get to go to them. i heard something about spamming the click instead of holding it down but i dont know if that actually fixes it. if so thats stupid why should i have to spam my mouse just to be able to properly use my primary attack. its not like spidey's homing attack where he can choose to pull someone or go to them cant Iron fist be like that? where i can choose to dash to them instead or you know just fix the ability.

it wasnt always like this it used to actually function but because people complained about him being able to chase flyers it got nerfed like the rest of the dives the only difference is he is still shit. no matter how much damage or defense he has its still going to bother me.

there is the white fox team up that makes it somewhat better but i wish i didnt need to rely on having a specific team member just so i can use my primary ability somewhat better it also doesnt fix it because even with it i still struggle with him not going to my opponent. maybe its lag idk it frustrates me so much

it is like the only ability that just straight up doesnt work possibly the only one. i hear about the cap animation cancel or the peni s9.5 nerf is there anything else like this where it would just be better to not have the ability at all? i get it was annoying but we have elsa, black cat, angela, devil dino, and hood now i think he is allowed to be bull shit again especially because other characters can now defend themselves not only that they are either just as cheap or even worse.
