Music Boss background color question

I just discovered the Music Boss app on my Pebble Time 2 and it has been a game changer. The built-in media controller works okay for some apps but has no customization. Music Boss allows for fine-tuned, app-specific customization to dial in your playback settings however you want, and I love it. I did the trial and bought a lifetime subscription within an hour; it's that awesome.

That said, I have one minor complaint, and I'm wondering if I'm missing something or if there's a way to fix it. Every time I open the Music Boss app on my watch, it starts out with a clean white background and black text. High contrast, easy to read. But after a second or two it switches to a light blue background and white text, which is much harder to read, especially in low light. I tried switching to "Black Theme" in the Music Boss profile I'm using, but this doesn't seem to do anything.

Does anyone else see this behavior, and if so, do you know of a way to change it? I don't really care about colors, my priority is contrast for legibility.

In case it matters, I'm using a Pebble Time 2 with the companion app on a Samsung Galaxy S24+ Android phone. I have the Deluxe subscription.
