A WOMAN FORGIVE HER MOTHER'S K\*LLER, HELPED HIM GET PAROLE, AND EVEN GAVE HIM JOB, YEARS LATER, HE KILLED HER TOO.

A woman’s decision to forgive the teenager who k\\\*\\\*led her mother became one of the most heartbreaking true crime stories in recent memory.

After the 1996 m\\\*\\\*ders of Sally Snowden McKay and Lee Baker, Martha McKay believed Travis Lewis deserved a second chance. She stayed in contact with him while he was in prison, supported his parole, and even hired him to work at the historic Snowden House she had restored into a bed and breakfast.

But in 2020, after Martha reportedly confronted Lewis over suspected theft and fired him, he returned to the property and brutally k\\\*\\\*led her. He later fled from police and drowned in nearby Horseshoe Lake.

The case continues to spark debate over forgiveness, rehabilitation, and whether some crimes should ever be forgiven.

Lesson Learned:

Forgiveness can free you from hatred, but it doesn’t mean you should ignore red flags or abandon your boundaries. You can forgive someone while still protecting yourself and keeping your distance.
