A question about MAPs/PMVs/AMVs and the songs in them
As a former warrior cats fan in my childhood there’s something I’ve ALWAYS wondered and want to know the answer to
Why do animators always use the most niche ball knowledge songs imaginable in their MAPs/PMVs/AMVs?
Like I’m serious they use songs that you could ask 100 people on the street if they know about the song and every single one would say “no”
Every time I click on an animation I’m greeted with a song I’ve never in my 20 years in this earth heard of
I’m not complaining btw this fandom is the reason my Spotify playlist of favorite songs is over 6 hours long
I would never know people like 30 Seconds to Mars, Innerpartysystem, Dr. Steel, etc. if it wasn’t for warrior cats
My mom told me that it’s possible they do this because these severely underrated artists are less likely to give out copyright strikes which makes a ton of sense to me but I wanna know if any of you guys have the REAL answer
