Severe Anxiety and Moving Due to NFH

Homeowner NFH

Moved into a fixer upper lake house 5 years ago and put a lot of money into it throughout that time span. We thought it was going to be our forever home, but that changed when the NFH moved in next door almost 2 years ago.

Before I even met these people, my dad came over and parked his car hanging a bit off our driveway - there is not a lot of room, and we have a 4,000ish sq ft lot. He went to leave after 20 mins and was met with a LAMINATED threat on his windshield, saying they have his license plate number and took pics of the car and would call the police if he parked that way again.... well that didn't sit right with me, so my first conversation with this dude was confronting him over that and he said he thought the car belonged to a contractor - apparently thinking it's OK to treat anyone like that. He then proceeded to tell me he was going to try to sue the person he bought the house from. Ok great guy.

These people bought this house for over a million dollars and proceeded to fill the yard with gaudy chatzkis and about 10 windchimes outside my window that would wake me up at night. They then planted trees alongside my house, blocking my windows. I told them this was problematic, but he just ignored me. Keep in mind, these people have like a quarter acre (3 or 4 lots) to my 4k sq ft. He intentionally was being an asshole.

Next, he decided to dispute the property line and had a surveyor all over my yard, even though I gave them a copy of the previous owners' survey. When another neighbor had a survey done for construction purposes, this guy threatened to call the police on that surveyor - but it's OK when he does it. Funnily enough, the property line moved, and he thinks he owns a pump house that has been on my property for 30 years, from when the house was built. The township also has lot lines on record, and the asshole is claiming to own part of MY seawall. Keep in mind I have 27 feet as opposed to their 110 feet of frontage. After all of this, they put a greenhouse right outside my window, feet from my house. Unpermitted, so that will be reported to the city soon.

As a result of this entire ordeal, I have suffered from severe anxiety and could not exist in the house without noise canceling headphones - which sucks when you work from home. There also were several instances where I had to stay with my parents for a bit. There is no point in owning a house on the water when you don't want to be there, yet also are too afraid to go outside and run into these people.

Eventually, I sought professional help and was put on mental health medication, which didn't really do much since those take a while to kick in. We finally closed on a new house in a rural area at the end of July, and my mental health has been so much better being away from that situation. But we are still trying to sell the lake house. NFH just messaged my fiance that he is going to move our landscaping asap since we are no longer living in the house. The torment continues, even living an hour away, and my mental health is spiraling again. Seriously, who does this kind of shit in general, but pulling this when we are trying to sell and get away from them....
