Engineering question

Coming back after a long time on pc. I’m off to mia for meta alloy but without davs hope where do I grind mats to trade and use for engineering? Also I got the Caspian and am wondering if the gravity thrusters are worth it as they’re heavy? Do I go to felicity and tune 7d ones?
