Are tennis lessons worth the cost?
I am in a predicament where I want to get better at tennis. I bought the Pongbot Ball Pace S Pro earlier this summer to work on my specific mechanics (hitting ascending/descending balls after the bounce, direct volley, etc). My shots are controlled and going to the desired target. Having a ball machine is nice, but I wonder now if getting a coach would be worth the cost and see if my general mechanics may be off.
10 professional hours appears to be equivalent to the current cost of a ball machine (~1k). This equals out to about 10 lessons total.
I have never been officially rated but would like to think I am a 3.0-3.5. I am not going professional but would like to be a competitive player in the 40-year-old age bracket.
