How does excessive Th differentiation affect Th cell population abundances over time?
[I do not have an immunology background, so I appreciate the question will be basic]
I am wondering, if for some genetic reason someone has excessive CD4+ T cell differentiation (say Th2) driven by an impaired ability to restrain the relevant cytokines, would they tend to have an overabundance of Th2 cells in circulation pretty much always, throughout their life (ceteris paribus) or over time would the Th2 cell population in circulation actually become depleted due to exhaustion or something like that?
