Did a membrane sweep work for anyone?

This is my second one done today at 39+5. It really messed me up compared to the first; it was a different midwife, it felt way more intense, more bleeding. She was able to fit two fingers in. Said not much had changed from the last one.

First was done at 39 w. Apparently I was 1cm dilated which stretched to 1.5 cm. A bit of bleeding not much. I think she was only one finger in and did not seem to be in there for long at all. Said I was really soft. The midwife today kinda disagreed.

I’ve been feeling this most recent one all day. They want to do a third if I go past my due date, but like damn dude, are these even doing anything at this point?

Can anyone share their experiences with a membrane sweep?
