Gerd traps air in chest

Hi I have had gerd for a couple years now I usually don’t get flare ups unless I eat something spicy which i usually take some omeprazole and feel better this time I’ve been feeling some discomfort on my chest the left side and keep burping non stop took medicine and haven’t been able to get rid of it for 2 days now this has happened before and have been to doctor about it they always tell me it’s just the gerd any one have any similar experience and if so what do you do to remedy this if anything works?
