before i even start this i just want to ask for no hate right now over how the green one is (Matcha), i rescued her from a hoarder home not to long ago and her health was really bad, im honestly surprised she's still alive due to the condition she was in prior, her gills got messed up permanently and her leg was missing along with chunks of her tail missing so please no hate for how they look she is healthy as a clam now (i take them to the vet frequently bc of their previous conditions) and she just needs to put her weight back on, the black one (Mochi) was in a similar situation but from petco and gets super picky sometimes when it comes to food (even when it's her favorite) and i do understand they look skinny but trust they are happy and healthy girls they are j skinny legends 🫶

But anyways back to the main reason for this post lol

So to make a long story short i am moving over an hour to my dads house and i'm not sure how to go about moving them that kind of distance without putting them under to much stress, it's not a horrible drive just a lot of highway and stop and go, i understand that any driving can be stressful and whenever i bring them to the vet they are in a large bucket for it (the vet is within walking distance) and when i moved not to long ago to my moms i drove as slow as i could with mochi and she did pretty well but then again it was only 30 minutes

I haven't fed them just yet incase that isn't a good idea i was planning on feeding them either closer to the day of moving or right after when they get adjusted to their new environment, ik i can look online and ask the vet for advice but i am wondering if anyone knows any good tips for this kind of move, rehoming is NOT even considered or thought about if that effects anything, im a huge worry wort and the 30 minute drive with just mochi at the time nearly gave me a heart attack so if anyone knows any good pointers that would be appreciated!! Im moving them absolutely last so that way the main tank their in can cycle while i finish unpacking and getting their space situated!! (their usually in a 60g but i just put them in a 20g nursing tank today for 2 nights tops) they also live with my 3 guppies and snail that i'm not so worried about for the move as they have been with me for a year or so now and have had to drive long distances with me before (snail maybe longer than a year)

Again please no hate my girls have medical problems that are actively being taken care of and consulted with vets they are the happiest little ladies just skinny mini's 🫶 also would just like to add the sand is no longer there and hasn't been for a little while i just don't have great recent photos of them besides the very last one the sand hasn't beeen there since the second night of having matcha and the black pebble looking things are from when mochi was at petco and they had her in a tank with gravel 🤦‍♀️ and they do have all live plants but i have the fake ones in there so it's not just completely in there on them (i also didn't know that fake plants were bad when i first got mochi so i've had it for a while just not in the tank second to last is when i very first got moch)

I'm moving and don't know the best way to go about it
