[F4A] Summer of Fun

Graduation had come and gone. Just a couple of months away from moving into the dorms and getting used to the final chapter of life before having to be an adult.

I had celebrated graduation a few times. The night of with our All Night Party. Sneaking drinks when the adults weren’t looking or paying attention. My Graduation Party and those that followed with friends. From little garage get togethers to hanging out by the pools all afternoon with my best friends.

But as the calendar flipped to June, we were only a couple months away from moving into the dorms.

I dreaded that day. I loved the way we grew up. Long road trips we had been taking. The few hour drive down the coast to another little beach. The camping trips. The little trips to the mall to spend a little bit of money and find something a little more revealing to add to the wardrobe. But we are getting close to this being over.

Neither of us wanting it to end.

“Let’s just go for a drive and see where it takes us.” You said. I nodded my head, knowing I had a little more free will than most and less parental supervision than all of my friends.

“I have the gas money!” I added as I flashed my dad’s credit card. “Tomorrow morning pick me up?” I asked.
