Brussels City Commune Address Change

Hello everyone,

Good morning.

I recently moved to an address that falls within Brussels City Commune. I notified the commune next day after my move, and same weekend police verification done.

I’m currently waiting for invitation/ convocation from commune for an in‑person appointment to update my address on my A-card. It has now been almost two weeks and I haven’t received anything yet.

I have the PDF acknowledgment that I received by email when I submitted my application through commune’s website. Could you please let me know if I can go directly to commune office with this acknowledgement, informing that police verification done 2 weeks ago, without waiting for the letter?

I would need to take a few hours off work to visit the commune, so any advice that can help me avoid multiple trips for a single task would be very helpful.
