Am I cooked for the schools i’m applying to

**Demographics:** Asian (Indian), male, Midwest, semi-competitive public HS, no hooks

**Academics:** SAT 1560 SS (800M, 760 EBRW) | ACT 35 (36 Sci, 36 Read) — submitting both. 3.93 UW / 4.48 W. (Bs in BC and Hon Phys 2nd sem junior year) Max STEM rigor (taking physics C, Calc III senior year), AP (all 5s): Lang, Chem, CSA, Human, Calc BC

**ECs:**

1. **Electrocatalysis research, university lab.** Cold-emailed in. Owned the CO₂ flow rate variable (that was my own research question), building and running electrolyzer cells unsupervised by end of summer. Anticipated co-authorship on a PhD student's paper.
2. **Science Olympiad VP.** 2nd at state in Ag Science, 3rd at state in Materials Science, 14 medals total across regionals and invitationals. Ran tryouts for 100+ students
3. **Paid climate internship.** Mapped air quality sensor coverage against a vulnerability index and found the lowest-income part of my city had zero monitors. Got a state rep and a professor involved; four sensors implemented. Previously volunteered on a campaign that got our city council to vote down a coal contract extension.
4. **VEX Robotics VP.** 47 members, 2x state qualifier, VEX Worlds division playoffs, mentor new teams
5. **Violin**, 9 years, top school ensemble. Recitals at senior homes through music honors society
6. **BPA** — 8th nationally in IT-related event, 2x state qualifier.
7. **Planning committee**, regional youth climate summit planning this fall, 200+ anticipated
8. **BioShield** — testing plant-compound films that block UV without degrading, to keep solar panels from breaking down. More of an independent mat sci research project than anything, not seeing it go anywhere.
9. **Regional science fair Gold Award** — meta-analysis on nanoparticle additives for cooling solar panels. Qualified for state, couldn't go.
10. **Religious study group** with my family since birth.

**Honors:** IJAS Gold, SciOly state 2nd + 3rd, BPA national 8th, Seal of biliteracy (Spanish), National Merit Commended anticipated, VEX worlds division playoffs qualifier

Questions: What do you guys think about my list compared to my profile? Am I over-reaching? Do I have a chance at NU or any other t20? idk im just scared that its not enough. Also stressed abt the downward trend with 2 Bs junior year second sem.
