Denny Hamlin Brake Package

I missed the race Sunday and and was super busy all weekend so just now kind of getting caught up on stuff. Still havent watched the race but while listening to AD Denny mentions nascar making him change his "brake package". He claims this was not for a "competitive advange" and that this brake package has been ran "20 times with all the other (JGR) cars. He mentions that because of the track size the brakes (new design) would start to fail after just a few laps because of the amount of rpms the rotor is turning and excessive energy the pads are absorbing.

Long story short, I feel like this is a direct correlation to why C Bell has had multiple brake failures at Phoenix during the playoffs lately. He had to have been running the same new design/package that Denny was this weekend. Phoenix & Iowa are very similar track sizes.

Idk why but the fact that Bells brakes failed multiple years in a row has always stuck with me & knew they had to be doing something very aggressive but obviously just didnt know what.
