How bad is the north side of Seward, really?
People can get super dramatic about elevation gain. Clearly it’s a long, steep section. Is it super washed out? Mostly slabs? Rugged sections that are more like rock climbing than hiking?
I ascended and descended from Caulkins Brook last time, and thought the waterfall climb section was a bit sketchy but nothing crazy.
I want to camp at the lean to and just do the short but steep out and back from the north side, but I’m not a rock climber and don’t want to die. 😅
