Been trying to find a movie I watched a few years ago

At the begging of the movie a guy is sneaking into a house and he points a revolver at a sleeping woman, and he changes his mind and returns home where he takes care of his bed ridden father. You find out the woman is his ex/ex wife and the whole movie revolves around him and his struggles with losing his family. There’s a scene where he takes his two kids to the park to shoot a toy rocket, there’s a scene where he gets into a fist fight with his ex’s new boyfriend, and in the end of the movie, they end up back together as a family or at least it seems that way. It seemed to be a cheaply made movie, but the cinematography was great and I’ve been trying to find the movie for years now. Thank you in advance.
