Tilt table test aftermath
Currently going through diagnostics for suspected pots. 5 day heart monitor, echo, ttt, and stress test are what was ordered, all I have left is the stress test.
Anyways, Tilt table test was today. I lasted about 16 minutes upright before I told them i felt like I was gonna puke and started having pre syncope so they lowered me.
Supine HR 60 bpm, bp 122/80
Tilted up HR maxed at 125, bp dropped to 85/50
Dr performing the test said diagnosis is orthostatic hypotension, but need to follow up with my cardiologist still to go over all test results.
From what I’m reading every where, If you have OH, you cannot have POTS, correct? Even though HR increases drastically anytime changing positions? I told her I also have these issues when sitting in the same position for long periods, like driving, and she said that should not happen. Dr seemed in a hurry and wasn’t willing to go over in more detail, just told me to keep up with hydration, salt and compression until my follow up with cardiology. My follow up isn’t until December. Can OH also cause palpitations and severe fatigue (been dealing with both for several years)?
