How can I fix this?

I worked for a staffing agency and was assigned to one of their clients for about 11 months. The client ended my assignment unexpectedly last week, says I went over my break 2 minutes.Never had any other issues in the 11 months I have worked there. When I initially filed for NY unemployment, I mistakenly selected “fired” and “absenteeism” because I thought that was the closest option, but afterward I realized my actual employer was the staffing agency and the client had simply ended my assignment. I faxed NYS DOL a written correction asking them to change the separation reason to lack of work/end of assignment. I was never written up or disciplined by the staffing agency for attendance, breaks, lunches, or call-out procedures, although the client had once emailed me about break/lunch timing. I’ve already received my Monetary Benefit Determination showing that I qualify monetarily, but my online account still shows $0 while the claim is being processed. Has anyone dealt with a similar temp-agency situation? If the staffing agency reports to DOL that the assignment ended/lack of work, will DOL usually correct the separation reason and process the claim?
