Working and DCA

So I’m really interesting in joining a DCA corps this summer (Buccaneers for those curious), and I know a couple people who march who could help me out. I wanted to know if there’s anyone that worked (primarily with a restaurant or food service that was able to balance that with drum corps. If so, how were you able to make it work? Another part of this is that I’m primarily a woodwind player (or was) and was never able to do dci, but the DCA door opened for me and I need to learn a brass instrument as well. So a couple things to tackle if I want to do this. Any advice is helpful! 🙏
