My partner gets frustrated easily and it gets to me

Hello everyone

As the title says, my partner (40m) gets annoyed/ frustrated quickly and by small things. We were long distance for a long time but we met lately and we lived together for a week or so. The first 4 days were hell. We were fighting a lot. He gets frustrated by a lot, one is he gets anxious when driving (a new city) and will snap at me sometime so I try to avoid talking while he drives. One time this happened and I was already not in a great mood so he snapped at me and I stayed silent the whole ride, when we got there I waited for him to talk to me or apologize but he just ignored me and was doing stuff in the kitchen and asking me to help. I was so hurt so I went to the other room and sat on the floor and I was crying, he came in and saw me (i hid my face between my knees so idk if he could tell i was crying but the way I was on the floor is not normal), but he just said something and closed the door and went to keep working in the kitchen, that was so painful for me, I couldn’t believe that he would see me like that and just leave me. After fighting and me having a breakdown, he apologized for this and said will never do it. But idk how to feel. He gets frustrated a lot and he cant control it. I knew this abt him but it only happened like 2-3 times on calls and he immediately calms down and apologize, but in person, he was different. He stays mad for a longer time and he doesn’t apologize either

He also gets upset abt intimacy like when I don’t initiate at the morning or turn him down. He stops talking to me completely. I would have to go to him and talk to him and explain and all that every time. I apologize or talk to him in a sweet way to make him feel better.

Any advice?
