Tips for weight gain?
Hi! I just got diagnosed with gastroparesis. I have been struggling to gain weight for like two years and now that I have some idea of whats going on, just looking for some pointers! I am 5’2 and ~85 pounds. I was able to maintain 95 pounds for about a year, but it got worse earlier this year and it’s continuing to drop. For context, I started at like 120 pounds. I’d like to get back to at least 110.
My biggest struggle is that everything freakin hurts, even liquids more often than not. Protein shakes are my worst enemy. And I’m allergic to most fruit 😭. I’ve literally resorted to baby food as of late, which is fine, but, yknow… baby portions. Not a lot of calories. Lol. I’m getting desperate. Important other note, I am a crazy busy college student with horrible ADHD so the easier and more portable, the more likely I’ll be to eat it. All of that said, I am willing to try pretty much anything, even fruit (it won’t seriously hurt me, it’s just painful and irritating). If anybody has any pointers, ideas, strategies that have worked for them, really anything, I’d super appreciate it!
Thanks in advance for any ideas! <33
