Big baby?
I had a terrible experience with my 32 week growth scan and have left panicking about my baby being enormous.
At my 20 week morphology scan, bub was measuring great and sitting in the 52nd percentile.
I’ve had a couple non diagnostic scans, just for fun and some face pics, and the woman there said he looked long, especially his legs.
At my most recent scan, the sonographer was quite blunt, demanding and rough and also did not talk through anything that was happening. I could see the measurements she was taking, particularly of his head but I’m not sure if I could interpret them correctly.
She then discussed my results with another technician who confirmed baby is now in the 90th percentile. She wasn’t worried about it but I’ve been left in a panic because I’m so worried my baby is going to be huge. I’m only 157cm and my husband is about 182cm, we were both under 6 pound babies. My family historically has quite small babies, so I thought for sure this baby would also be.
I know size predictions are so variable and often not correct, has anyone else been told they have a big baby but turned out differently?
