vanity sizing will be the death of me

when i was 12 (circa 2014), a medium shirt across many brands would fit whether it was slim or loose fit and same for size 12 jeans (shorts or pants).

now i can wear a xxs and it'll still be loose on me? you're telling me i can also wear a size 2 pair of jeans that'll also be loose? and somehow a size 12 will be too tight. i would rather be a size medium/12 will minimal size discrepancy than have to try a xxs to see if it'll be lose.

and for context, i am 5'9, 25" waist, 33" bust + hips. in my mind, that doesn't make sense. bring back standard sizing because this tomfoolery is ridiculous. vanity sizing is a joke.
