Humidity help
PNW runner here 🙋🏾♀️I’ve been running since Oct. 2025 and I’m currently training for my second half marathon.
3 weeks ago, I was in Tampa and attempted an “easy” 5K at 5:30am to beat the heat and runner’s trots hit me HARD at mile 1.5….
Now I’m heading to Nashville this weekend and my plan calls for a 9.5-mile hilly long run. 😬
For those who regularly run in hot/humid climates: how do you prevent GI issues on long runs? Is there anything I should do differently with hydration, fueling, timing, etc.? Or would you skip/modify the long run rather than risk a repeat? 🥴
