calling in late

hello! i’m currently in my first 90 days and tomorrow i have an appointment that might end up conflicting with my shift, i start work at 3:00 but my appointment is scheduled for 2:00 and i might end up being late to my shift. i was wondering if i call in late will any action be taken against me for it?
