family is protecting a criminal

This is my first time posting here and I don't want to make this too long. Hopefully I can give as much details as I can.

I (26F) had moved back into my dad's and stepmom's with their 2 children (16) & (8) this year due to getting my greencard. I do not have a good relationship with my father to begin with so I don't even know why I moved back here just bc of a greencard.

About almost a month ago, my brother (16M) had been accused of raping a 13 year old girl, who is his best friend's little sister. The mom of the girl came to our house and was mad at my dad & stepmom saying she is pressing charges. I did not know this until the next day when they woke me up and told me that they'll be going to florida for a few days. Me being half asleep just said ok and didn't think any of it because it is summer and they had been meaning to go to fl to my aunt's place. Then they told me what had happened and were thinking if they could get my brother back to our country before the cops get here. I really didn't know what to say.

Also for context: My brother had always been in a lot of trouble, being a delinquent, getting caught by cops bc of staying out and being stupid outside late at night.
I have also heard about this issue a few weeks back from friends of friends who knows him and I just kept asking them if it's true or not or just teenagers making shit up.

Few days later, they came back and I didn't hear anything about it until a week later. The cops called and my dad is getting a lawyer. My dad came into my room and literally told me "What if he admits to the crime? he can't go to jail." All I said was "Just comply" I really don't know what to say.

I would NEVER protect a rapist, bc I am a woman and I am also a victim (they don't know about it) I am confrontational, but to my family, it is kind of hard.

I am planning to move back to my country, trying to save enough money for now. I have not been able to eat properly because my dad is an abusive fuck who takes his frustration out on me. All of this has just been crazy to me, I know I am old enough to just leave. I will be cutting them off when I get out of here. It's the trying to escape a crime is insane and protecting a rapist?
